We could walk into town, so the distance never bothered us, and having a restaurant right next door was handy. The villa also arranged extra services when we asked. The house is beautifully designed, with a lovely infinity pool and a thoughtfully laid-out room. Even in monsoon season, the layout kept things comfortable. Best of all, my husband took care of everything else along with the other husband! 😂

There’s a nearly 20-meter private pool, and the villa itself has plenty of room: three bedrooms for up to six adults. Each bedroom has air conditioning, while the rest of the space is open air. We found the nights a little chilly during our July stay. The access road is narrow, though a car can still get through.

Our butler Aris was always cheerful and so helpful. When our drone fell out of a tree into the river and disappeared, he climbed down and managed to retrieve it. The villa sits among rice terraces, but we didn’t have insect trouble as long as we kept the bedroom doors shut. The open-air living room only has doors on one side, so keep food in the fridge and wash dishes promptly to avoid attracting ants and bugs. There’s no dishwasher, though the staff cleans the kitchen, takes out rubbish, and washes dishes each morning. We spent two weeks here with friends in February and loved the stay. The villa is spacious and has a fresh, beautiful design. Every room has air conditioning and its own bathroom, and WiFi reaches all the rooms, with occasional outages of about five minutes. The wardrobes are small. There’s no washing machine, and laundry costs extra, around 20,000 per kilo, which wasn’t great. It’s a 30-40 minute walk to the main street with cafes and shops, and Ubud’s sidewalks are narrow and awkward. We always called a taxi, which was the right choice. We’d recommend the villa and are very grateful for our holiday.

The staff were really kind and helpful, though the rooms and villa could use better care. Watch the door when you close it or you might trap a pet, like a spider or lizard. Then again, you’re in the jungle 🤫🦟😁

We found the staff very helpful, and our driver was a cultured guy, which was a nice bonus. There’s an excellent restaurant close by that’s especially handy for breakfast. The villa is pleasant and quiet, a good base for exploring this beautiful area. Getting to central Ubud wasn’t an issue for us. Highly recommended.
