We liked it enough to come back after leaving Ubud. Our first stay was for a couple of days before we left, and when we returned, we chose this place again. It's quiet and away from the main roads, though only a 10-minute bike ride from the center. The hosts were lovely, offering fruit and even inviting us to pick dragonfruit in the garden. There's a pretty courtyard with a bonsai collection and lots of bird cages. Our room was simple and cozy, with a double bed, small sofa, and a bathroom with both a shower and bathtub. We could eat on the veranda, and there was a kitchen with a refrigerator next to the room.

Nyoman Rusma and his wife were always smiling, and their warm attention made the stay especially pleasant. I could enjoy the quiet and nature sounds from the little terrace, overlooking a small, well-kept garden. It felt removed from the stress of downtown Ubud without being far from restaurants, shops, services, and other conveniences. My room, bathroom, and the surroundings were clean. They even offered breakfast and let me use their yoga room. I’d happily stay at Rusma House again on my next visit.
