The center of Ubud is packed with tourists, cars, and motorbikes, and I’d suggest staying outside the center. Two to three km south, there are many cheaper and better hotels, more affordable and tasty restaurants, and lower motorbike rental prices. Around this guesthouse, I couldn’t find cheap and tasty restaurants, and was surprised that restaurants cost more here than in Kuta. The pillows and blankets were dirty and looked used. One pillow smelled strongly of sweat, which was awful. It seems they normally change the sheets and pillowcases only once a week, but staff replaced them on the morning of the second day without saying anything, which probably tells you enough. Bath towels were changed only once every few days. The room was cleaned every morning, but the woman who cleaned it was unfriendly and never greeted us. She’d finish and leave without a word, sometimes before we noticed. That felt unpleasant. I think it would be better if she said hello when she was done and leaving. There was a refrigerator and air conditioner, but both were dirty and I didn’t really want to touch them. The refrigerator and AC remote controls should be cleaned properly. There was no kettle or cups in the room. The shower had hot water, but it ran out quickly and turned cold. We had to wait more than two hours before hot water was available again.

The hospitality was incredible. They even invited me to a family wedding, which was such an honor, and I’m really grateful for the experience. I’d come back a million times. The room was beautiful, and there’s a roof terrace with a kitchen, some weights, and a bike. This is one of the best homestays I’ve stayed in. Thank you!

I spent 10 nights at Run's House in Ubud and had a fantastic stay. The hosts made me feel at home, and even took me to a local temple to see a traditional ceremony. It was a wonderful way to get a deeper look at the local culture. The room was spotless and had all the comfort I needed. Its location was ideal, close to the main sights but on a quiet street. I’d highly recommend it for a memorable, immersive stay in Ubud!

The hosts were so kind and helpful, and the rooms were clean with daily housekeeping. The location worked perfectly for me. I've stayed at Run’s house twice now and couldn't fault it either time. I'll be back.

We spent two nights here during Nyepi and found this cozy B&B well priced. I was lucky to get a room with a nice view. The room was simple, comfortable, and quite clean. The Balinese family who owns the place were friendly and helpful. There's a shared kitchen and dining area up on the rooftop, and it's not far from the main street or Ubud's center. It felt safe to me while I was there. I'd recommend it.
