We'd come back time after time. I spent 16 days here this visit with my wife and two young kids, after nearly two months on our last stay, and 16 days really wasn't enough. I was inspired to come up with new ideas for work, though I needed a decent internet connection to make them happen. The internet speed could use an upgrade. The pool could use an update too, and a few basic things are missing, like fans by the dining area and maybe in the gazebo by the fields, since it can get hot in summer. Those are my reasons for not giving 5 Stars. The service at the Villa is very nice, and the rice field view from the dining table is reason enough to stay. The local temples are stunning and alive. Take time to experience the village and its authentic Bali culture. Villa Cemadik is an amazing oasis away from the bustle of modern life, ideal if you want to experience Bali rather than just visit. It's not for people on a schedule who want to be close to Ubud and pack in sightseeing. Being 20-25 minutes outside of Ubud is a blessing, with hardly any other tourists around.
