Lucky Family Cottage

The location felt safe and calm. Breakfast was fresh and very good, and the staff were great and helpful, though we sometimes had trouble understanding each other. I wasn’t so lucky with my room: it smelled bad and had ants. They tried to help, but it was hard to enjoy the stay.

We spent three weeks here and felt at home. Kadek, thank you, and hope to see you again. The owner and all the staff were kind and helpful, the breakfasts were delicious, and the place was clean and well kept, including the beautiful pool. There’s AC too. It’s close to the centre but tucked away somewhere quiet. Don’t let the small access street put you off. Behind the doors is a little haven, peaceful and away from the noise.

Everything matched the pictures, and the rooms were spotless. Breakfast was homemade and fantastic; asking for it a little earlier was no problem. The staff were kind and helpful, and the location worked well, around a 30-minute walk or an 8-minute ride to the centre of Ubud. Nights were quiet and calm. I highly recommend this place.

Breakfast was delicious, brought out to our verandah each morning. Our room was spacious, clean, and airy, and the pool felt like our own because nobody else used it. Such good value for money.
