Ibu Loris was lovely and always smiling, and she let us leave after two nights without a cancellation fee. I appreciate that, which is why I’m giving two stars instead of one. We’d planned to stay four nights but wanted to leave the day we arrived. The city was packed, so we couldn’t move sooner. The room and garden felt dirty and neglected. There was trash in the yard, mold even on the curtains, a huge cockroach in the room, and dirty pillows. Everything felt unpleasant to touch. The rooms need a much better clean, including the curtains and pillows, and the place needs renovation. I know the price is low, around 350k per room, but for 400k we found a very clean, freshly renovated homestay. This one wasn’t worth the money. I wouldn’t recommend it, especially for families with kids.

We left before our planned checkout because the old room and toilet, dirty conditions, and towels and mattresses that smelled bad and weren’t changed often made us uncomfortable. The location is a plus, and breakfast was nice. It might be fine for a night or two. She refunded the unused days in full.

I only booked one night, but liked it enough that I wanted to stay longer. The room was spacious, clean, bug-free, and had a nice view. The central location made it easy to get around, and the host was kind and attentive. I had a quiet, restful day.

The room was nicely decorated and breakfast was good, and the staff were quite nice. But we found four cockroaches in the room, one alive and three dead. Looking into the corners, we realized it hadn’t been cleaned very thoroughly. We couldn’t raise it before leaving because the English-speaking person wasn’t there, so we just paid for the night.

A great location for a very good price. The place was clean and cozy, with wooden furniture, quiet AC, and fresh, pleasantly scented towels. Breakfast was homemade and different each day. A lovely place to stay in Ubud.
