A really nice pool and a very quiet villa. It’s a bit outside Ubud, but a cab or scooter into town is cheap.

My wife and I spent just over a week here for our honeymoon in August 2017. We’d worried Ubud might be packed with tourists, but the villa was quiet and away from the noise, while still close enough to reach the main market area by scooter or taxi. There are only a handful of rooms, so we got a peaceful stay and space to ourselves, even though we met a few other guests. We wanted to enjoy the villa as much as explore Ubud, and manager Komang helped us do both, with ideas for places to go and things to do, and by making our time there relaxing. Thanks, Komang! The rooms mixed traditional and contemporary style, with plenty of light, good air conditioning, and netted beds. Each day, we got a note about a Bali tradition, which made it feel like the place took pride in its culture and history. Friendly, attentive staff served breakfast every day. The pool was a good size for a relaxing swim, and some rooms are just a few steps away. We also met the owners, who were friendly and cared about our stay. We felt very relaxed and would choose this villa first when we return to Bali.

A cosy villa really close to ubud, just right for resting after long days sightseeing. The staff were lovely and always smiling, ready to help with anything from tours to dinner and taxis.

We were wandering around hoping to find breakfast when we came across Villa Saraswati. They happened to have a gap between guests and kindly put together a lovely breakfast for seven of us. Sitting at the handcarved table, looking over the pool and the temple beyond, was beautiful. The meal was just what we wanted, so good that we returned the next day. We appreciate that breakfast is not usually offered to people who aren’t staying there. We’ll definitely come back, this time for a few nights. A hidden gem in the real Ubud. The grounds and room were excellent, and it was easy to arrange trips around ubud. The hotel manager and staff were welcoming, friendly, and very helpful. A relaxing place to stay.
