Villa Ubud Sunshine

The hotel’s calm pool, tucked among greenery, was a lovely place to relax and sunbathe. Even though the hotel was full, it still felt quiet, and the natural scent mixed with the incense they burned as part of their faith made a lasting impression on us. We also loved the balcony view from our upstairs room. Since we’d said it was our honeymoon, they’d decorated the room specially. Every staff member was so sweet and attentive, and they happily answered all our questions about Bali. There was always someone in the lobby to help, which felt reassuring. I’d booked two nights through Booking for our first trip to Bali, thinking we’d decide as we went. We liked it so much that we extended for two more. Someone else had the same room, so the staff moved us downstairs and kindly gave us a larger room at the price we’d agreed on. That room was nice too, though we had internet problems. The staff tried to help right away, but couldn’t fix them. The location is central, though it takes a 10-15-minute walk to get to the center. The rooms have minibars and safes. The air conditioning wasn’t very efficient, but it was still suitable for business meetings. They can arrange motorbike rentals. Our first hotel was a great start to the trip, and we’d stay again if we returned. We asked the staff for the incense they burned and bought some to remember the place and its atmosphere at home. It was a very pleasant stay, and we recommend it.

We felt like we were in the middle of the jungle, with real peace and quiet, even though Ubud Palace is only a 10-minute walk away. There are plenty of restaurants, shops and massage places nearby, and all the main sights are easy to reach on foot. For our first time in Ubud, we couldn’t have picked a better spot. We loved it enough to add another night, though we wanted two and they were sold out. The hotel, location, food and staff were all top notch. The people working there made us feel comfortable, almost like family. A little slice of paradise in a magical town. Terima kasih, Villa Ubud Sunshine! Highly recommend it.

The pool beside the beautiful greenery made it feel like being in the jungle. Staff were lovely and helpful, and breakfast tasted great. No negatives, would recommend!

Don’t trust the fake positive Google reviews. This place was extremely unhygienic and not at all comfortable for a stay. There were lots of bugs and insects in the rooms. The breakfast was spoiled. When we pointed out the rotten bananas, the staff casually said, “We serve only these bananas. If you want, eat it, otherwise throw it.” There’s ongoing construction all around the property, and workers keep peeping in. You can’t even open the windows, and there’s absolutely no privacy or sense of safety. @Google Team, please don’t remove genuine reviews like this. Honest feedback helps future travelers make informed decisions.
