Nazeki Villa

We stayed in the four-room villa, with a few three-room villas lower down the hillside. The views were incredible, the complex was stunning, and the pool was wonderful. The air conditioning worked well. We spotted a few ants, but otherwise the villa was pretty much bug-free, with no mosquitoes or spiders. Watch out for wild monkeys at night, as they'll come looking for food if you leave any out. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and communication through the WhatsApp group set up for our stay was great. The location worked well, about 25 minutes from the southernmost beaches and roughly an hour from most major tourist spots and activities elsewhere on the island. I'd absolutely book this villa again when I return to Bali.

We were blown away by this villa, the best we've stayed in in Bali. The pool was beautiful, and the open-plan living area, oversized ceilings, and three very spacious bedrooms made it feel great. Each bedroom had its own bathroom, and two had bathtubs. Trees and greenery around the pool added to the atmosphere. The staff were attentive, and Bintangs delivered to your door were reasonably priced. There are several villas in the complex. We stayed in “Jasper”, on the East Gate side.

Everyone on staff was polite and helpful, greeting us with a smile. They patiently helped with everything we asked for. Thank you!

The bedrooms felt bare and not very cozy, and the whole place seemed more like separate apartments than a villa. With nothing really connected, it would be hard to spend time together as a big group. I also didn't like having to go outside whenever I left my bedroom, since everything is open. That can't be great in rainy season. There are lots of small practical problems, and it seems the building was designed for looks first. Some bathrooms felt especially dangerous: a few shower-over-bathtub setups had tubs that were large and difficult or scary to climb into safely, and some floors had uneven tiles that made walking hard. To reach certain rooms, you have to cross slippery, uneven rocks beside the swimming pool, which didn't feel safe. The bedrooms could use a trash bin, hand towel, wardrobe, and maybe a desk. The place also didn't feel very clean. There was green mold in the bathtub, and the window had several dead lizards, some reduced to skeletons, so they'd likely been there a while.
