The smell was awful, there was dirt and rats, and the air conditioning didn’t work. It seems like they haven’t spent anything on maintenance for years. They also tried to overcharge me for almost everything. There are plenty of other options. Avoid it, and good luck.

The food at breakfast was delicious, and the restaurant was great. The owner even arranged breakfast to take away at 5:30 a.m., which was very generous. The staff and service were good, and the room was great, though the toilet needs to be cleaner. It’s centrally located in the city, and the hotel has a lot of potential to improve. A great option for staying in Waingapu.

I paid for two nights but left after one, and they wouldn’t refund me. The room had no running water. Staff asked me to wait 30 minutes while they filled the tank; after 45 minutes there was still no water, and nobody offered a solution until I asked to switch rooms. I won’t stay here again. The two stars are for the good Pisang Goreng and because I like supporting small local businesses.

The room was fine, with the basics provided, decent internet, and air conditioning that worked well. The bathroom could use some attention: it was dim, the hot water barely worked, and the water didn’t feel fresh. Breakfast choices were limited, but the pisang goreng with palm sugar was so good. Laundry was affordable and ready in a day, though the service is closed on Sundays.
