Hotel Novena

The rooms were fine and the service was impeccable, and it was good value. The pool could use better upkeep, though. There was probably too much chlorine, which ruined two of our children’s bathing suits and left them with frizzy hair and headaches.

I still think this is the best hotel in Bone. A deluxe room is IDR600K with breakfast. The buffet selection is limited, though the food tastes pretty good. The one-day laundry service was useful on our long business trip, and it cost IDR50K per service.

I’m giving the hotel two stars now, mainly because of the laundry drama. There was a privacy sign on the door, so why did staff knock on it so hard? Last year I gave The Novena Hotel five stars. I had a wonderful stay in Bone, even though it isn’t a big city. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the security guard was always there by the exit to help guests. My room felt clean and comfortable, like home. The facilities were complete, the food was good, and breakfast included lots of traditional drink options. Thank you, The Novena, for that lovely stay.

The hotel feels fresh, with much of it newly built and nicely decorated, and the staff were very helpful. We could hear other guests through what may be thin walls. Also, although our room was non-smoking, smoke somehow came through the ventilation into the bathroom.
