For a legendary hotel, it's still quite comfortable without air conditioning, and the food is good. My mom used to work here. It can look as if there aren't many outside visitors, but it's actually nearly full. Seems plenty of people still like the place, though the hotel doesn't make that obvious to people passing by.

The location works well for me, close to the traditional market, restaurants, and Cibodas park. I booked a deluxe double room. The bed was fine and the bathroom clean, though the light really needs to be brighter. There are some TV channels, but the picture isn't clear. Breakfast isn't included here, but there are plenty of places to eat outside. Don't expect too much. It's okay for a staycation if average facilities are enough for you. There's a pool and park, and the hotel has been operating for a long time.

I booked a business room. The room was nice and clean, with basic amenities, hot water, and good water pressure. I could park right in front of the building. Check-in was quick. If a room is ready, you can go straight in instead of waiting until 2 PM. Breakfast was okay, with an a la carte menu and quite a few options: porridge, omelet made to order, rice with chicken and vegetables, fruit, juices, bread and jam, and corn flakes with milk.
