Alzara Hotel

For an early start at the Gn Kidul beaches, this is a good option, since you can stay nearby and head out in the morning. It's a little off the main road, though, so watch for the small turn toward the hotel when following the maps. The price seems reasonable for the room and service, and the syariah concept is handled quite well. They provide a sajadah, mukena, quran, and al matsurat book. The room is spacious enough and fairly clean, including the bathroom. The AC cools well, and there are two drinking waters in the room, but no kettle, tea, or coffee. I hope they'll add a water diapenser on each floor so guests can make hot drinks. Breakfast isn't included. You can add 35K for nasi kotak or nasi bakar, which is my preference, or pick something up at a nearby warung during a morning walk. There's also the 'Lebah Jogja' coffee shop downstairs for hot or iced coffee. Alhamdulillah, I had a fairly satisfying stay.

The room was comfortable, clean, and nice. Breakfast doesn't show up when you book through Apps, so you need to order it directly at the Receptionist for 25K IDR per pax.

For a low price near the beaches, this is the best hotel I've found. The AC works well, the beds are comfortable, and the water heater is working properly. The food at the hotel could use some improvement.

For a short stay, I'd call it an average hotel for its class. The two or three mosquitoes were bothersome, though I appreciated the hot water and sajadah. It's the kind of "syar'i" hotel where an illegal spouse can rent a single room.
