The view might have been nice, but we didn’t stay. After a three-hour drive, carrying luggage up what felt like 200 stairs was already a lot. The room was dirty, things were broken, the bed was dirty, and there was no shower, only a bucket and toilet. The toilet was broken too. When I asked about a shower, they said it cost three times as much. I pointed out that the bathrooms in the photos had showers included, but they wouldn’t refund us or move us to a room with a shower. We left without a refund. It felt like they use rooms to take nonrefundable money and rob people. I rarely leave a bad review, but stay at your own risk of losing money.

The hilltop views over the beach and trees were spectacular, and the climb was worth it. I even met adorable baby chickens along the way. Omah Sundak is centrally located, so it was easy to walk to many beaches. They quickly helped me reserve a room and accommodated my specific request for the exact room I wanted. They were welcoming from the start and even helped me get a late afternoon lunch. It’s a simple but comfortable guesthouse, and I recommend it.

Updated: I’m such a regular now, and the food is good. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve stayed at mba Tika’s place. I’ve spent holidays at Omah Sundak twice. The owner is very friendly and helpful. You rent a room and get your own beaches around you 😂.

A good hostel at a reasonable price, with decent facilities. You can book through agoda or traveloka. The family room has AC, a dispenser, sofa, two king beds, water heater, sink, and shower.

For a simple room, I got all of sundak beach 👍🏻👍🏻 It’s quiet enough, and the sunset view is beautiful 🌅
