Harumi‘s was a great base for exploring the nearby mountains, and there’s a supermarket close by. The wooden interior gives the place a really cozy feel, and the mountain view is beautiful. I enjoyed my stay a lot.

The hosts are friendly, helpful, and know a lot about all kinds of things. I could talk with him for hours about culture and plants. He speaks English well and can be hired as a tour guide, which is worth the money. He’ll take you to places other guides won’t. The hot shower worked well, and there was a hot and cold water dispenser, plus free coffee powder, tea bags, and sugar. This morning I watched the tip of dieng hills slowly glow reddish yellow from bed. I woke feeling refreshed to birds chirping, and even left the windows open at night to let the cool air drift in gently.

We had a lovely tour around dieng. Sunrise was from the best spot, with coffee and a good snack, and we had a nice breakfast too. Along the way there were good stories, we stopped to look at a temple, and even ate potatoes from a crater. The whole thing was just perfect.

Ratno was an adorable, funny, and very helpful host. He showed me the best of his region, and the peaceful tree house made the experience amazing, which I hadn’t expected. It felt like a moment outside of time. I already miss the place :)

Ratno was an amazing host and guide. During our two-night stay, he showed us around the village and took us on a beautiful hike to see the sunrise. We had the best time.
