We were given a key for a room that already had someone in it. We only realized when we saw their luggage after opening the door, and luckily they weren't angry with us. Reception said they'd accidentally checked that room out and handed us its key. Then, after we were moved to a new room, they accidentally checked us out, so we couldn't get in. I was speechless. I didn't feel like taking any photos for a review.

The room is nice enough, though it can feel a bit dark at times. There aren't many TV channels, and the Wi-Fi isn't great.

We came as a group and used more than one room, but the cleanliness wasn't consistent between them. One bed cover had stains, and I found dirty stains in my toilet 🥲. I was surprised after reading the clean reviews, and less than an hour after arriving I already wanted to check out. It was still bearable to stay, just not the best.

Getting around was easy, with becak to take you nearby or Gojek cars usually close at hand. Grage is right by Malioboro street, a great spot for shopping, food, and getting around the Kota. The rooms are spacious enough for a comfortable night or a few, and breakfast runs from 6 am to 10 am, with coffee, desserts, and some local dishes. It's a budget-friendly business hotel that suits short stays. I stayed three nights, and the friendly service staff did their best to meet my needs. A good place to get a feel for the Jogja way of life, with two thumbs up for the hotel and its amenities.

The breakfast buffet was quite nice. Our twin room had plenty of space for two, and the bathroom was roomy and clean.
