The rooms stayed quiet, and I liked the cute common area. Breakfast and dinner were included and delicious, the staff were friendly, and there was a very friendly cat to play with. Hot showers, plus free tea and water, were nice too. The street outside was too noisy for me, with motorbikes constantly passing. The bathroom smelled a bit moldy, though I guess that's normal during monsoon season.

I couldn't sleep in the eight-person room because the smell was awful, so I slept outside. It was so strong it made me nauseous and even seemed to ruin my sense of taste. They used a lot of air freshener to cover it up. I think I would've gotten sick if I'd stayed in there. I also told the man with glasses that the internet wasn't working. He didn't seem to care and just said, "What am I supposed to do?" Very bad.

Staff were good, and breakfast and dinner were free. Lempuyangan Station is only about a five-minute walk away. There were mosquitoes that night, though, and I got a room where the beds had no curtains. If you want more privacy in a hostel, I wouldn't recommend this place.

I really love the feel of this hostel. The employees are welcoming and so nice, and Laura is a gem. The free breakfast and dinner are amazing, and the menu changes, so even during a stay of several days you get to try different food.

The staff, apart from Laura, were extremely rude and ignored us when we asked for help. Laura was wonderful, sweet, and informative; if I were rating only her, it'd be five stars. The other staff were so bad that I've never dealt with anyone as rude in a hostel anywhere. The room was dirty, the sheets hadn't been washed, and I got so sick from allergies that I didn't sleep at all. There was mold in the bathrooms too. They gave us a scooter with faulty brakes, and we nearly died. When we brought it back early, they refused a refund and laughed when we explained how dangerous it was. This was the worst place I've stayed in during months of traveling around Asia.
