I took one look at the room, packed up, and moved to a much better 4-star hotel for nearly the same price. They refused to refund me, but getting out of there was worth it. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The toilet floor was dirty and smelled awful, like it hadn't been cleaned in ages. The sheets had obvious stains, and the towels were so stained I couldn't bring myself to use them. The AC was broken, with tissue paper stuffed into it as some kind of fix. When I raised it with the manager, they passed the issue to housekeeping to clean the room instead of fixing anything. The cleaner then stared me down as if they wanted an argument. Totally unprofessional. There was also a man smoking on the chair right outside our room, a chair we had paid to use ourselves. Staff brushed us off when we asked them to deal with it, saying it was “freedom,” and did nothing. We checked into another nearby hotel at almost the same price and got far better service and cleanliness. This 1-star hotel isn't worth your time or money. Avoid it.

We booked three nights through Agoda, but left after the first one. I'd paid for two deluxe city view rooms, yet we were put in small ground-floor rooms facing the car park. Motorcycles started revving at 6am, and unlike the other rooms, ours didn't even have chairs outside. When I asked if we could move into the rooms we'd booked for the last two nights, they said they'd have to see what they could do. We decided to cut our losses and switch hotels. Very disappointing. No refund, which I expected. The location is excellent, the breakfast was generous and tasty, and the staff were friendly, though it was obvious they couldn't do much.

The staff were incredibly helpful and humble, and the breakfast was good. The room was clean, too, and the price was affordable. I'd come back with my family and recommend staying here.

The sheets hadn't been changed and were dirty, with blood on one bed. The bathroom could've been cleaned in ten minutes with some elbow grease and Jif/Gumption or bicarb. It's the dirtiest place we've ever stayed, though the staff were lovely.

Our bedroom was comfortable, basic, and clean. We had a deluxe room on level 2. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the location made it easy to get everywhere. Happy customer, love jogyakarta. We'd recommend this hotel to family and friends in Australia.
