The staff were really nice, and we could get around easily from this lovely place in the middle of Yogyakarta. Grab was available too, which made things a lot easier. After checkout, they were happy to let us leave our bags inside their house. We check regularly for bed bugs at every hotel we visit, and there weren’t any here. Internet speeds were good. Breakfast tasted great, and they made a lovely effort to keep bugs out of the food, which worked. But even though the booking said breakfast wasn’t included, the owners seemed to assume we’d eat there and pay. We would’ve liked more choice. The bathroom was okay but could use some modernisation. We’re personally a little against keeping birds in cages and the dog on a chain outside. That’s just our preference. We’d certainly come back.

We stayed for 6 nights and had a great time. The whole area was clean, the room was big with a good mattress, and it had the basic amenities. The Java Style design is unique, and the place is gated with staff on hand 24/7. It’s a peaceful spot with lots of local trees, clean air, and lovely birdsong, especially in the morning. Many local restaurants, laundry, a mini mart, and a pharmacy are within easy walking distance. It’s also close to the city center, with Gojek or Grabcar easy to get. Elis and another guy were friendly. Alice did an excellent job cleaning the room and making a lovely light breakfast with mini bites. Thanks to Ndalem Suryo Saptono for the great hospitality. Worth staying here, and we’d come back to Yogja again.

Free water and morning snacks were a nice touch. The host was really kind and helpful, and the staff had plenty of good suggestions for Jogja. Had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend it 👌

The rooms were clean, the staff friendly, and the price was very good. It felt like being at home on a family holiday. Hope I can come back one day with a big family or some friends💕😍
