OYO 693 Hotel Safara

We were most uneasy about how easily people could enter and leave the hotel. The attendant didn’t even check our IDs. The place was generally clean, though there were stains on the blanket and an odd smell coming from the washbasin drain.

Getting around was handy, with TransJogja BRT terminals nearby and routes that can take you all the way to Prambanan Temple. The room was reasonably clean, with a nice bathroom and comfortable beds that can fit up to four people. My room was hot because the hotel’s AC was broken, so ask reception for one with working AC. Also, there’s no breakfast.

It’s south of central Jogja, so it’s not right by the city center, but getting there is easy on Trans Jogja lines 2A or 2B. A single ride ticket cost Rp. 3,500. The rooms are comfortable, if a little dirty, and you can request a TV. Cold drinks are sold at the front desk. The showers only have cold water. Cozy enough for a stay. :)

The owner was really friendly. The place is clean, with en suite rooms, and the family room fits four. It’s also pretty cheap and spacious. The wifi seems to be broken, though, and they don’t fix it.
