The area stays quiet most of the day, which made it a good place to rest, and being near UGM university is handy. I had a spacious, comfortable deluxe double room with a terrace for one night. The WiFi, cable TV, and hot water all worked well. Definitely worth a visit.

I stayed five days and four nights. The room was clean and very spacious, suitable for a family or group, and the surroundings were quiet, a few hundred meters from the main road with little traffic noise. It was easy to find restaurants, a 24-hour minimarket, Lawson, and ojek online nearby. Stasiun Tugu, stasiun lempuyangan, Malioboro, and other public places were also close. The car and bike parking was adequate, there was a free-flow water dispenser in the hall, and the admin replied quickly on What's app. A few things could be better: the bathroom soap dispenser was empty, there was no shampoo, toothbrush, or toothpaste, and I had to ask for a bath mat. Bathroom cleanliness needs more attention too. There was no kettle in the room, and the hall dispenser's hot water was broken while I was there, leaving only cold water. For the price, I'd recommend Payu Hotel to anyone wanting somewhere to rest after a tiring holiday or work day, and I’d stay again. Thanks for the hospitality.

The location was great, and the air conditioner cooled the room well. Some spots on the wall felt scratchy, and the bathroom hot water kept cutting in and out.

I saw this place on TikTok and was disappointed. There were just two small soap bars and a shampoo sachet, and I had to ask reception for a toothbrush. The only outlet was under the TV, so charging my device meant using that spot. The bathroom floor was very dirty, and the hot water fluctuated, sometimes suddenly getting very hot, so I had to watch out in the shower. The hotel felt quite scary too. I couldn't sleep at all the first night and felt overheated even with the AC set to 18 degrees. The staff were friendly, but didn't take the initiative to offer help or ask if I needed anything. There's no elevator, so carrying my suitcase and other things upstairs was a hassle, even with only two floors. The beds were twin beds pushed together, not a double, and there was no room phone, so I had to go down to reception whenever I needed something. For 200-250 thousand, you can find a better hotel. At least it might come with more than a tiny soap bar and shampoo sachet.

I stayed here from June 14, 2026, and checked out on June 15, 2026. No one checked the room before I left. Once I got to Jakarta, I realized I’d left my Adidas jacket in the closet. I reported it through the ag**da application and by personal email but got no response. I eventually sent a direct WhatsApp message; it was delivered, but still no reply. I hope someone sees this rating and returns my jacket.
