Good value, with plenty of places to eat nearby. It's a five-minute walk to Zero Point Kilometer and Malioboro, and ten minutes to the Palace. The owner is friendly and the setting feels familiar. Breakfast comes with fruit, the water pressure is great, and there's hot water. You can help yourself to hot or cold drinking water in the lobby.

The staff were friendly, but their English was very basic and we sometimes struggled to understand one another. The online photos look much better than the place itself. Our first room was tiny for two, and the AC wasn't working properly, so we asked to switch and got one that was a little bigger. The rooms and toilet were quite dirty, and they only provided a small towel. You also have to be back by midnight because guests aren't given a key to the main gate. I'd suggest this stay for backpackers who aren't too concerned about comfort or going out at night.

We paid quite a lot for a small room and a shared toilet used by almost everyone at the guest house. The room itself was small but fine for two, and both the AC and wifi worked well. Breakfast was nice, with the owners making something different each day. Free coffee and tea were available, as was water for refilling. It's in a quiet area, around a 20-25 minute walk from Malioboro and Taman Sari.

The room was very basic, and I hadn't noticed before booking that it was only 4m2. Drain flies got into the room because the bathroom is so close. Breakfast was okay and the location is good, with everything nearby. If you want more comfort, I'd recommend staying somewhere else.
