The setting is lovely, with an attractive garden and a great pool to relax by. The location is perfect for shops and restaurants. The deluxe rooms are nicely designed, though they’re dark unless the balcony doors are open. They have authentic tiling in the basic bathroom, but the outdated shower lets the room down. The superior room is small and dark, with a rundown little bathroom that needs an update. The terrace is a pleasant spot to sit outside, and breakfast is acceptable. Room cleaning was poor and had to be repeated before it was good enough. Even after that, dark hairs were left on the bottles and there was still lots of dust on the fixtures and fittings. If I travel to this area again, I’d be very happy to stay in a deluxe room.

We kept extending our stay because everything was perfect. The staff were so friendly, the food was good, and the setting was beautiful and relaxing. Outstanding!

Even though it was mud July, or at least it felt like it, there were only a few other guests, so the place was quiet and peaceful. I loved swimming before breakfast, and the staff were very helpful. The breakfast was delicious. On our checkout day we were leaving early, and they prepared breakfast for us to take along, even though it was 5am 🥹😍 As soon as you come in, it feels like you’ve left the busy city for an oasis of greenery, cooler temperatures, and fresh air. The shared spaces and rooms looked like the photos, with beautiful traditional architecture and details. The location is a bit away from the central street, but easy to reach, and I was glad it was set back. There are also a few lovely coffee shops around the corner worth checking out. The staff were lovely, even helping fix my fan when it broke, and I ended up adding a night because two nights didn’t feel like enough. I was sad to leave. I spent hours by the delightful pool relaxing and reading, and really liked the lighting around it. There are restaurants and street food right outside, including very good chicken satay. The hotel itself is very good, and the location works well: train stations are an easy 15-minute taxi ride away, though scooters get through the traffic faster. The bathroom is private and covered but technically outdoors. I enjoyed its rustic feel, though the bathroom door is effectively an outside door. There’s a massage spa, but it’s only for women because the masseuse is female. I did have quite a few little ants in my room. I’m sure that’s been sorted out, and I survived.
