The facilities were good, the staff great, and it was quiet. But I no longer feel my privacy is safe. Whenever I came back, all the electricity in my room was off, including the light and phone charger. Before leaving, I always switch everything off except the lights and phone socket, so finding it all off made me feel unsafe. It seemed like someone could see whatever was in my room.
Mbak Mia, her husband mas Yoan, and their family welcomed me warmly and were very friendly. The lobby has a nice traditional feel, and the large parking area lets you park a motorcycle right in front of your room. It's a peaceful spot about 100 meters from a small asphalt road, in the middle of a residential area. There's a mosque nearby, so bring earplugs if you're not used to hearing the adzan. It's a good place to be on your own, especially in low season. It's not near busy areas, but Google Maps finds it accurately. If you pass padi fields on both sides of a small road, you're on track, and after a little while among thin trees, you're nearly there. This would suit trips around the hills and forests in Bantul and nearby, though it's quite far from the Southern beaches. I'd rent a motor bike or scooter to get around.
Very clean, friendly atmosphere, and tucked away from the busy city roads. A peaceful spot if you like a calm place to stay.
