Rumah Kita Bnb

We liked Rumah Kita so much that my friend and I added another night. Mega and Michael, along with his family, were so warm that we felt at home right away. The rooms were clean and comfy, and the setting was pretty, peaceful, and convenient. It was our favorite place to stay in Indonesia. Highly recommend!

After a long flight and bus ride, I was glad to have somewhere to rest during my nearly week-long visit to Yogyakarta. I was traveling alone and got to know the staff, especially Mega, who was really nice. We’d have ginger tea together each evening and chat. The hotel is basic, but it did the job for a few nights. A calm, clean, and very budget-friendly place, close to everything around the city. The vintage style is great, and there’s a kitchen plus free coffee and Wi-Fi. The host is friendly. They can be a little shy if you don’t start the conversation, maybe because of the English or other language barrier, but no need to worry.

The retro feel made this place especially comfortable, with old newspapers, vintage gadgets, and all kinds of other old things around. I stayed in one of the dorms for five nights and loved it. There are two dorm rooms as well as private bedrooms. The showers have hot water, the toilets were very clean, and the Wi-Fi was fast. The bunks are thoughtfully designed and easy to use, which makes sense since the owner is an architect. I loved the atmosphere and made new friends here. I’ll come back with my old friends to show them Jogja, and I already know where we’ll stay.
