I’d stay again for the cozy room. The place has a rustic look, with wood as the main material, and every room has a dehumidifier, which is a plus given how easily wood can be affected by humidity. Seken Living products are used throughout, from furniture and utensils to bathrobes and amenities, and I liked them. Rooms vary in size, and the biggest one is quite spacious with a bathtub. It’s a pleasant hotel, though not very big. The communal area works for breakfast, chatting, or relaxing, but cafe visitors sometimes use it too. The lobby’s wall-mounted waterfall is a well-known photo spot, and people from the cafe often stop there and block hotel guests from getting through. Breakfast isn't a buffet. It comes from The Stairs cafe across the street, which is also managed by Seken Living. The hotel is in the heart of Prawirotaman street, with cafes and live music within walking distance, along with Tempo Gelato and plenty of arts and crafts shops. The nearby cafes can play live music late, though, and the area gets crowded. Parking is in an empty lot next to the hotel or at The Stairs, but the parking attendant can be hard to find, so getting parked can be tricky. Staff service is good, but sometimes they gossip even behind guests, which feels impolite and unprofessional.
The staff were friendly and really helpful, and I found the room clean, cozy, and comfortable after a long day. Everything about the stay felt enjoyable, with great facilities and a lovely atmosphere from the minute I arrived. I had such a fun time and would love to come back. Highly recommend for a memorable, fun stay!
The new hotel looks great and is in a convenient location, but at around AUD $100 a night, about IDR 1 million, I didn't find it worth the price. My stay was okay, maybe 6.5/10. It opened 19/12/25, so I expected some early operational hiccups. I first booked a balcony room facing Prawirotaman Street, which has lively nightlife and a nice mix of locals and tourists. The hotel is between bars licensed until 1-2am and right next to the outdoor bar Till Drop. Live bands and singing were extremely loud late at night, and the sound came straight into my room. If you're sensitive to noise, I wouldn't recommend that room unless you bring earplugs. Management kindly moved me to a room at the back, farthest from the street noise, but soundproofing is still a big problem. The wooden doors are thin, hallway footsteps and conversations carry clearly, and hotel music from speakers outside the rooms blares every morning. Even in the largest room, where they upgraded me, rooms felt small and sound traveled everywhere. The property is visually striking, with a few room types, including bunk-bed rooms for backpackers. It has a locally popular bakery on the ground floor and a dining area on the second floor, so plenty of people who aren't guests come in to take photos. Hallways, stairs, pool areas, and entrances were often crowded. My room was on the third floor, marked guest-only. I imagine levels one and two are even less peaceful, especially with the poor soundproofing. There's no lift, just stairs, so it's not accessibility-friendly, and there's no room service. Staff were mostly accommodating. I asked for a bowl to eat in my room and got one, but when I asked for a spoon, they said they didn't have any. That seemed odd since breakfast is offered. It wasn't a huge deal, but I ended up buying a plastic spoon elsewhere. The architecture and location are the main draws; comfort and quiet were lacking. Improvements could make this a much better stay.
The front desk team were the highlight for me, really friendly and helpful. The property has a superb tropical modern design and sits right in the middle of Prawirotaman street, with a cute cafe attached. For people staying in house, a more comfortable shared seating area would help. There are only some stools or benches by the pool and sun beds. A small safe or drawer in the capsule for electronics would be useful too, and dorm rules could set quiet hours, maybe 11pm-6am or so. I'll definitely come back. 🙏🏻
It's a nice, super clean, modern room, tucked just behind the hip cafe in the busy part of Jl. Prawirotaman. It can get a bit noisy when the cafe is busy. Service was just okay. I asked to borrow ironing equipment and didn't feel attended to, as I saw staff chatting instead of bringing it over.
