Preston House

The Red Room is a lovely place to unwind by the fire, and the bar made for a fun night in. The bedrooms were luxurious and comfortable. I spent a long weekend at Preston House with seven friends, and we all had a great time. It's full of old-world charm and has everything you might need, including three cookers and three pianos. We enjoyed walking at the nearby Bog Walk and Rock of Dunamaise. Ross and Natalia were responsive and helpful hosts.

Preston House worked perfectly for the full-day strategy session I held there, and it's a beautiful halfway point between Dublin and Cork. Ross, the owner, and Natalia were welcoming and attentive, making sure we had what we needed. The restored Georgian house has real character, with distinctive meeting rooms equipped with a big screen, a large table and a flip chart. We liked how history, creativity and practical needs came together. It's a great choice for meetings, workshops or off-sites when you want a central place with a special feel. Many thanks to Ross and Natalia for making the day smooth and memorable.

It's close to the main bars and shops, but the house stays quiet. The rooms are spacious, the facilities are great, and Ross was a great host. There was everything we needed. The big walk is within walking distance and well worth doing. Lovely stay, can't wait to come back.

Ross, the owner of Preston Hse, was very helpful and even brought us wood for the fire, which added to the atmosphere. We booked the house for a family celebration and, since it was just one night, decided to eat in. It was an ideal venue for our group of six couples, and the town and area were great to visit. We had a pre-dinner drink at Morrissey’s, well worth a stop for a great pint of Guinness. I'd highly recommend Preston House for a small gathering, and I can see us doing it again.
