Having Brazilians working at the hostel made communication much easier for me, and the staff and management were lovely. I was on the second floor with a 16 kg suitcase, which was manageable, though as a young woman I would have preferred an elevator. The women-only room was quiet and considerate, with no loud music. The beds had curtains for privacy, plus a lamp, dresser, and outlets beside them. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed my first hostel stay. The stairs were clean, the bathrooms were white, the bedding was fresh, and the mattress was soft. There’s nothing I can complain about, and I’d happily stay again. 10/10!!!

The staff were friendly, the room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. The shower had amazing water pressure too. It’s a perfect base for exploring the city, and I’ll definitely stay here again if I come back to Dublin.

For a Thanksgiving visit with friends, this was a great cheap option. The hostel staff went out of their way to make us comfortable, and we met cool people from all over. I’d recommend it if you want a social hostel with a late-night feel. Our only issue was an older roommate who thought 11 pm was too late to be awake, like, it’s a hostel, girl! If you need an early, uninterrupted night, consider booking a private room.

Moving us to the six-bed dorm at no extra charge after I explained the problems was great service. That room was so much better, and I’d recommend it. The ensuite was a bit tight but nice to have, and the other showers in that part of the hostel were like a fancy hotel, proper shower heads and no timer. It’s wild how much nicer that area is. The first night, though, we were in a 32-bed mixed dorm, and it was awful. I knew it was a lot of beds and expected that, but the room smelled terrible, was extremely hot with no airflow, and my little corner had no windows. It just felt gross. The nearby showers were bad too: no temperature control or shower head, and the water stopped after 30 seconds when you pressed the button. A+ for the service and the room change. DO NOT STAY IN THE 32 BED!
