Ocean View Doogort

The house was spotless and quaint, with everything within driving distance. There’s an open fire, rocking chairs, and a very well equipped kitchen downstairs. Upstairs is open plan with three beds, and there’s another bed on the lower level for anyone with reduced mobility. It’s a beautiful location, just a short walk to a stunning beach. Highly recommended.

Val went above and beyond when we arrived late, meeting us and showing us around the house to make sure everything was right for us. It’s one of the best equipped houses we’ve rented, and we’ve stayed in a lot. The sea view is fabulous from every angle, with sheep everywhere as an added bonus. The location is superb, only a few minutes from the most beautiful sandy beach. We’d highly recommend staying here and will definitely return. Thanks, Val.

The house is close to the beach, with plenty of roads nearby for walks. Inside, it’s really clean, the rooms are spacious, and the beds are comfortable. The kitchen has loads of useful things, including a wine opener, coffee plunger, frying pans, coffee, and basic spices. There’s a microwave, oven, and full size fridge, plus a big bathroom upstairs and a toilet downstairs. The owner even left a bucket full of coal, wood, and firestarter, which was a thoughtful surprise. Loved the place and can’t wait to come back.

This was our 5th year coming to the Island. The Cottage has what we want, with the Beach and the Hotel/local bar just minutes away. The other locations are a short drive or cycle.
