Inspiration Lodge

The room was a nice surprise, clean, comfortable, and paired with a really spacious bathroom and fantastic shower. Even the hallway was immaculate and clearly well kept. Great value. Arriving and checking out felt impersonal, though, and at first it wasn’t clear where the entrance was since nobody was there to greet us.

The host really made this stay stand out. They were warm, helpful, and outgoing without ever getting in our way. Breakfast came out quickly and was expertly cooked, with vegetarian choices and care in the details, even though we were the lodge’s only guests. We stayed in a small but modern, comfortable room in a quaint building with historic touches. The town is small, but has a couple of nice pubs and places to eat, and there’s plenty of parking. Being about 20 minutes from Dingle worked well for us, giving us a small-town stay with access to the bigger, more touristy town. We spent two weeks in Ireland, and this was one of our best stays.

The guys who cooked and ran the place were friendly and helpful. It was an easy walk to pubs and restaurants, but quiet enough to sleep. The room was clean and comfortable. I would have found a mirror near a plug socket useful, and the grounds could use a spruce up, perhaps with some flowers. We’d definitely return.

We only had one night here, and wished we could have stayed longer. Just outside Dingle, this lovely B&B was a real surprise. The owner welcomed us warmly and had plenty of advice on places to visit and eat. The rooms were cozy. Definitely worth a stop while visiting Kerry.
