Paddy's Palace Dingle Peninsula

I came here on a paddy wagon tour and found the place a complete dump. It looked like it was falling apart, the shower was disgusting, and even though I’m tiny, I couldn’t fit in the bathroom. It felt like some of the worst living conditions you could find in Europe. I paid an extra 30 euros to move next door, and that felt like the Hilton by comparison. The included continental breakfast was toast and cereal. Dinner was included too, but I didn’t think it was fit to eat. This place should be condemned.

Friendly staff and decent accommodation at a very cheap price. The shared bathroom is out in the hall. The shower was unstable but still worked, and the large radiator was handy for drying clothes.

A handy hostel with comfortable beds and a complimentary basic breakfast. It does the job. If you’re visiting the birthplace of Tom Crean and his pub, The South Pole Inn, both are a 5-10 minute walk down the road.

For the price, it’s hard to beat, which is why I’m giving four stars. The sheets were clean, and there are good pubs within walking distance. The bathroom had some mold, though, and the dust in the corners made it seem like it hadn’t been cleaned in months.
