Claire recommended a local restaurant for dinner and even made a reservation for us. The lodge has harbour views, and there's a shoreline walking trail just a short walk away. Its eclectic decor makes the place a visual treat. We liked our stay so much that we changed our plans to stay a second night. Claire is a wonderful host who takes her work seriously. The rooms were spotless, the mattress extremely comfortable, and Claire made us a delicious breakfast. She was also able to accommodate our gluten free request. Can't recommend it enough!

The sea view suite is something special, and the owner's personal warmth made us feel completely at home. She was kind, caring, and attentive. We had breakfast just once, but it was a highlight: freshly prepared, lovingly presented, and served with real care. Every item in the house seems thoughtfully chosen and arranged, and it all remains functional. The antiques give the place a distinct character without making it feel outdated. It has the feel of a museum, but with comfort alongside the history. Our one night at Marsh Mere Lodge was unforgettable. It's a rare treat for anyone who loves this style and hospitality, though it may not suit people who prefer a modern setting or industrial charm.

Claire was a lovely hostess and made us feel at home during our two nights at Marsh Mere Lodge B&B. The quirky antiques add plenty of character, and the place sits right on the coast with a stunning sea view. Claire was accommodating, and her homemade breakfast was first class. I highly recommend it for a relaxing getaway.
