Delphi Cottage

The beds were really comfortable, and the kitchen and rooms looked lovely. We had everything we needed, including towels, kitchen napkins, cereals and milk. It’s a beautiful but basic place, with a tiny patio and picnic table where you can get some fresh air in private. A couple of things could be fixed, like the noisy doors, but that should be easy to sort. I forgot an item there, and when I got in touch, they put it in the post straightaway. I recommend this place.

The kitchen was roomy and really well equipped, and the beds were very comfortable. There was a tiny patio with a picnic table, which was nice for some private fresh air. The place is very basic but had what we needed. A few things didn’t work quite right, including a noisy door, crooked floorboards and faulty lights, though those were smaller problems. The water pressure was horrible. We could have used napkins or kitchen towels.

The cottage was very clean, the beds were spotless, and there were plenty of towels. It’s beside a busy road, but there’s a small outdoor area at the back that felt safe for kids. We stayed in one double room and another with three single beds. The double had no storage, though that didn’t matter for our one-night stay. The sitting room and kitchen share a compact space that had everything we needed. The hosts left milk, orange juice and cereal. We’d brought our own, but the girls were determined to drink the juice. It was a little cold when we arrived mid-afternoon, and we couldn’t work out how to turn on the heating. We left for Dublin, and thankfully it had come on by the time we got back, so it was lovely and warm. We used it for a trip to Wild Lights at Dublin Zoo, about half an hour away, and I’d definitely use the cottage again for Dublin trips.

I spent two months in a clean, comfortable apartment that felt like a home from home. Valerie and Brian are friendly and helpful, and took good care of us. It’s a lovely part of the country, well connected by road and not far from Dublin.
