We were made to feel very welcome by this lovely couple, who couldn't do enough for us. My husband and I spent four nights here, had a lovely room, and slept comfortably in the bed. I'd recommend staying here. Bernadette Butler

Avril made us feel at home straight away. She's friendly and funny, and you can tell she and her husband put so much care into the house. We stayed one night in a cozy room with a big, comfortable bed and everything we needed. Breakfast was a good continental spread with plenty of choice, including fresh soda bread, which I loved. We'd happily recommend this B&B.

I stayed at the Riverdale after a night out in Athlone and felt right at home thanks to Avril and Neil's hospitality. Their home is lovely and my room was comfortable. It's less than a 10-minute walk from the town centre. I'd gladly give it five stars and will be back.

I was only at Riverdale for one night, but had a really positive stay. The room was fairly spacious, well kept, and decorated in a rustic, traditional style. There's good parking, and the town centre is around a 10-minute walk away. Breakfast was amazing, with a nice range of continental options. I'll definitely come back next time I'm staying in Athlone.
