Friars Quarter House B&B

The room was tidy and clean, but both it and the ensuite felt cramped. There was no power to the shower, and the lukewarm water turned cold. Breakfast wasn't provided as advertised, just self-serve porridge in a cup.

Everything in the house was lovely and high quality. Breege has a wonderful personality, as does her daughter, who works there with her. An unexpected power cut happened while we were waiting for breakfast, but they handled it efficiently and it wasn't a problem. They clearly work hard to make this a lovely place to stay. I'd recommend this B/B. Well done!

We stayed on April 29, 2024, while road-tripping from the S to N of Ireland. The comfortable room was nicely sized, and we especially liked the house and grounds, with plenty of parking. Breakfast was plentiful and good value, and the friendly, agreeable staff made us feel welcome. It's conveniently close to the town centre and restaurants, an easy walk. The only possible downside was that the beds felt a bit soft, though that's personal preference and most B&Bs in Ireland are like that. I strongly recommend it.

The hosts were very kind, and breakfast was great. The house is nicely decorated, with an amazing dining room, and there's parking on the property. Our room was clean and comfortable, with the option to make tea or coffee. The only small drawback was that the private bathroom was outside the room rather than inside. It wasn't a big deal, since there aren't many rooms.
