The slow pace made it easy to unwind, and Craig and Claudia made us feel at home on the island within minutes. Our room was lovely, with amazing views and a very cool, stylish en suite. We also loved the hot tub by the water, always hot and hard to resist. Roaring water Lodge feels like a home on this untouched island, with so much to explore on foot. Craig's pizzas and Claudia's desserts were amazing, and breakfast was a generous full Irish or veggie Irish. We got to know the other guests and locals, fell for the place, and are already ready to book again for next summer. Cliodhna & Dave

The food was fresh and delicious, far better than the good meal we thought we might get given there's nowhere else to eat. Our rooms were comfortable and had what we needed, with powerful showers that felt great after a dip in the sea. There was WiFi, a TV we never used, and a comfortable living room. If you invite her up, Millie will keep you company ❤️. We came as a big group to play music and spend time with friends, on my third visit to Heir Island and Heir Island House. Claudia and Craig were so helpful and accommodating, and Millie the dog was a lovely part of the stay: always pleased to see us and very well behaved. We all wanted to take her home. There’s lots of outdoor space to relax and watch the sunset, plus a hot tub and amazing views. The peace and quiet are incredible. Heir island is magical, and Heir Island House is a perfect way to experience it. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back. Thanks again, Claudia and Craig.

The sea view and the fact that it didn't rain made the afternoon at Heir Island House even better. The water tasted perfect too. The pizzas were delicious, like they could have come straight from Italy, and Watson was very happy with his bowl of water. Mum, Pam sends a special thank you for such a lovely time out 🥰. Don't miss it, make sure you visit.

If you're looking to get away from the rush of life, this is the place. Heir Island is remote and stunningly beautiful, and we spent six idyllic days at Roaring Water Lodge with Craig and Claudia looking after us. We absolutely loved it.

Claudia and Craig are lovely hosts, and what a glorious setting for this amazing place. The pizza is the best you'll ever taste.
