Dromcloc House

The hosts were warm and welcoming, the views were stunning, and breakfast was varied and delicious. The rooms are small and old-fashioned, but that adds to the charm, and they're spotless, comfortable and fairly priced. The one drawback was checkout. We were at a wedding and had been told 9am; the host let us stay until 10am, but if you want a lie-in after a late night, you may want to book elsewhere. Otherwise, well worth the stay.

Dympna had the Covid precautions very well organised, with a sparkling-clean house, plenty of sanitiser and a huge dining room set up for social distancing. The freshly cooked breakfast was brilliant too. We stayed two nights at Drumcloc House recently, slept really well in the lovely rooms and enjoyed ourselves. We'll definitely visit again.

A lovely countryside setting, and the host was very helpful.

The two farm cats were happy to get a scratch or belly rub. The elderly couple who run this B&B were friendly and shared lots of useful information about local sights and places to go. Breakfast was hearty, with cereal, tea and coffee, bacon and eggs or sausages, yogurt, fruit and several fruit juice choices. I stayed here for a couple of nights with a friend during my visit to Ireland two years ago.
