The location worked well for sightseeing, and I liked the little touches around the place. The main amenity areas looked modern, chic, and well cared for. Our room felt cramped after staying in cheaper hotels and inns on this trip. The bathroom was clean, but had a strong bacteria-like smell, similar to a cloth left to dry without being properly washed. Contactless entry is handy, though we struggled with the two-factor check-in because we didn’t have a UK data plan. Thanks to the hotel across the street for letting us use their phone. If you’re set up for 2FA, you can skip that issue.

We were glad we picked this place. The room was nicely styled, and the accessible room had plenty of space to move around easily. It would be a bonus to have a note explaining the accessible entrance, since you collect the keys at one door and use another to reach the accessible room.

Everything was really clean and the hotel was nicely warm. The rooms have what you need, including a coffee machine, kettle, iron, and hairdryer. I wasn't keen on the two single beds pushed together, but they were so comfortable, and the pillows were great enough that I'm now trying to find the same ones. We loved being within walking distance of all the places we wanted to see along Bray seafront. We'd definitely come back.

The modern feel inside was a nice touch, and the room had all the basics for a night’s stay. It’s on Bray’s main street, about an 8-10 minute walk from the seafront, with plenty of places to eat nearby. The vending machine needed restocking.

The Firefly was great for my three-night stay. Everything felt new, and the rooms were very clean. It’s more affordable than many hotels in Bray, with the bus stop right outside and Bray Daly station and the waterfront about a 9-minute walk away. Check-in was very easy. There’s no lift, so I asked for a ground-floor room and got one. I’ll definitely stay again.
