We had a brilliant night out, and the reception team helped us plan it with tips about where to go. We tried their suggestions and had a great time in town. The pubs, clubs and late night food spots are all an easy walk away, and although reception called us a taxi because we were in heels, we walked back as planned. The Allingham Arms is easy to find just off the main road into Bundoran, with plenty of parking beside and behind it. The bar and restaurant are handy for a drink before heading out, and our room was quiet, clean and had the usual amenities. The hotel was dressed up beautifully for Christmas, too, which made a lovely backdrop for photos. Thanks to all the staff for making our visit so special. We’ll definitely be back, and would recommend putting the Allingham Arms Hotel on your list for Bundoran.

We turned up without a booking as a group of 17, and they got us seated and looked after quickly and professionally. Everyone made us feel welcome. The service was really fast, and the food was excellent value as well as being absolutely superb. We ate last Monday, 29th December, in the front bar/lounge across the road from the bay. When we're home in Fermanagh/Donegal visiting family over Christmas, we normally eat at The Bridge Bar, but this is a great alternative. Well done!

The room was nice, and the hotel’s location is great for a weekend away. But the second night was rough: a concert in the hall went on until about 1.30am, and the sound insulation is so poor that I barely slept. Guests should be told about the concerts before booking. Our room was also near the kitchen ventilation, so opening the windows wasn’t really possible. I’m German and I do like the smell of a good sausage, but having it around us 24/7 was a bit much. I can only give the hotel three stars.

I only visited this time, rather than staying overnight. The sea view and dining area were lovely, and the bar/lounge was very good. The staff we met were friendly. I’ll have to book a stay next time I’m visiting.

The staff were lovely and welcoming, and both the food and service were excellent. Our bedroom was modern and nice, with a really comfortable bed, and they tidied the room and made the bed each day. There isn’t much to do around the area, but it was October and raining, so that’s the main reason for that. The hotel itself was very nice.
