We had everything we needed in the house for a comfortable week away with friends. It was spotless when we arrived, and the garden and sunroom were lovely places to hang out. The hosts were friendly and helpful the whole trip. We had an unforgettable holiday and found it hard to leave. 10/10, I’d go back without a doubt.

Declan made check-in easy and was helpful with local information. The house is right in town, close to the Activity centre and Sailing club, and an easy walk to the pub or up the mountain. We used it for a work/team event, and it suited a big group well, with a good-sized kitchen and living room, a nice back garden, and all the amenities and appliances we needed for a few days. Rooms and bathrooms were very clean, and linen and towels were provided.

There’s plenty to do in Carlingford, and Declan was helpful with everything we needed, making the stay easy and comfortable. We spent the weekend at Heritage Cottage for a family get-together, with 20 of us ranging from teenagers to older adults. It’s clean, lovely and spacious, with comfortable, well-arranged beds, and an easy walk to the village restaurants and shops. We mostly self-catered, and the house was well set up for a group our size. The hotel across the road was handy for anyone wanting a full breakfast, and we could watch the rugby there on Saturday morning. We had a brilliant time and would recommend the cottage for large group bookings. We’ll definitely return.

We came to Carlingford to spend time with family, and this was just right for us. The house is clean and spacious, with a lovely feel, and only a few minutes from the town centre. Declan was welcoming and hospitable, making us feel comfortable as if the place were our own. I’d definitely recommend it.

After a long day cycling from Belfast, I got to Carlingford in the early evening towards the end of August. By the time I left the next day, I’d been welcomed, fed well and had a good rest. Heritage Cottage was a lovely place to spend the night, and being close to town made it easy to enjoy what the city has to offer. Carlingford’s rich culture and kind people will bring me back. If you want an accommodating, authentic Irish experience, Heritage Cottage is a great choice.
