Jason was very nice to deal with, and we’d happily recommend the house to friends. We were 12 people celebrating joint 50th and 60th birthdays, staying three nights at the end of April. There was plenty of bed space and it was spotless, with town just a short walk away. We cooked and ate in, though indoor dining space was a bit tight for a big group. Luckily the weather was lovely, and the two large outdoor bench tables gave us room to eat outside.

There was loads of room in the sitting room and kitchen for food and drinks, and the house was modern and clean. Town was about a 10 minute walk or a quick taxi ride away. We booked it for a lads’ weekend and the size and location worked really well. I’d book again if we went back to Carrick.

The Anglers Rest was in great shape, with plenty of bedrooms and beds for our group of 16. We booked it for a stag party and found it really spacious, with town only a short walk away. I’d recommend it for all sorts of occasions, and we’re thinking of booking again for a family get together.

The showers weren’t usable because water kept collecting in the trays, and there was a bad sewage smell. The owner was constantly popping in, while the neighbor walked around at night with a torch, looking in to see what you were doing. We couldn’t even use the car stereo on the property at 6 pm because the neighbors complained about the noise. If you stay, bring a bucket of paint. A stain on the windowsill can mean you don’t get your deposit back. And don’t use the BBQ, it seems to be there just for decoration.

We all agreed we’d definitely visit again. There were 16 of us for two nights, and everyone was happy with the house. It was warm and clean, with a nice garden. The manager was especially kind and helpful. Highly recommended.
