Cavan Crystal Hotel

The rooms were clean and had plenty of space, and the serving staff were top class. But my third party booking included a food allowance, clearly shown in the booking email I provided, and it still wasn't given. They showed me a different booking form with different details, but it was for another guest. This has happened during a previous stay too.

We had a lovely dinner at the bar, with great food and absolutely fantastic service. The reception welcome was warm, and our room was exceptionally clean, spacious, and had lots of storage, plus a very roomy bathroom. The hotel is easy to get to and has lots of parking. It's close to a busy road, but inside was very peaceful. My only complaints are that there were no towel racks, so we had nowhere to hang the plentiful towels and avoid wasting them, and there seems to be room for a small fridge. A real gem in Cavan town with superb hospitality.

Dinner was 10/10 as usual, the bar staff were lovely, and breakfast was brilliant too. I booked one night with bed, breakfast, and dinner, and check-in was quick. Jamie at Reception was especially kind and friendly, helping me carry my luggage because I had a lot of it and a baby with me. I had a swim with my daughter in the evening, then used the jacuzzi and sauna in the morning before breakfast. The jacuzzi was only lukewarm, though the jets were powerful, and the leisure centre staff were friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back 😊

The beds and rooms were enormous, and the place was very clean and comfortable. It was easy to find, with a big carpark, and lunch and dinner were great. Breakfast let things down a bit: the eggs were overcooked, the tomato was raw, and the plates were cold. I was in a hurry to leave, otherwise I'd have sent it back.
