Castle Varagh Hotel & Bar

Castle Pollard was a lovely base for exploring Ireland’s hidden heartlands. We spent a few days in this gorgeous hotel and felt welcome from the start. The bedrooms were very comfortable, the food was delicious, and the service was excellent in a warm, friendly atmosphere. Thanks to everyone for a memorable stay.

Our friends who stayed overnight told us how amazing the rooms were. We were celebrating our daughter’s quinceañera at Castlevaragh Hotel, and it turned into an unforgettable day. The ballroom looked stunning and the food was delicious. Clodagh, Jason and the team were there for us from the beginning, making sure everything was in place and treating us with such kindness, care and professionalism. Their attention to detail helped make the day everything we’d hoped for and more. We’re so grateful for their help and would highly recommend Castlevaragh Hotel for a special celebration.

The dinner was tops, and breakfast was one of the nicest I’ve had in years. My family and I stayed this weekend, and it was a great experience all round. The rooms were top notch, the bed was super comfy, and the staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating.

We had such a comfortable stay, and the rooms were very clean. It was a lovely place to decompress after a busy few Christmas days. The Christmas feel was everywhere, with tasteful decorations, and my daughter loved taking pictures in the hall of twinkle lights. The food was unreal. Everyone from my little one to my mother loved it, and Chef Paul is my daughter’s favourite. Service was fantastic, and the tables were full all evening, which says a lot about the food. We loved our little Christmas break and can’t wait to return for steak night. The menu for their New Year’s Eve celebrations looked amazing.
