Errismore House

Right in the town center and close to everything, this is a lovely apartment. It was clean and the bed was so comfortable 😁. Our only small gripe was hearing people walking around in the other apartment upstairs, whatever time of night it was.

I felt right at home for the three days I stayed here. The bedroom was cosy and had a small bathroom, and I had access to my own kitchen as well as a shared living room and small terrace. The kitchen had everything I needed, with towels in the bathroom too. Check-in and check-out were easy. It's a perfect base for a few days in Connemara, and Clifden is a lovely town with plenty to do in town and nearby.

The location was great, and contacting the host was easy. They replied quickly when we raised a few issues, including that the bedroom heater wasn't working. With the weather at -1, having no heating in the hallway, bathroom, or kitchen made taking a shower a challenge. That wouldn't have been an issue in summer.

I had an easy arrival thanks to the lock box outside, and the place had the usual basics, including a toaster, kettle, fridge and cooker. My apartment also had a small sofa, TV, and a table with chairs. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and practical. I enjoyed staying here and would come back. The two things I’d change are the internal house-style entrance door, which could feel more secure if it were sturdier, and the lack of a recycling bin.
