Regina took such lovely care of us, and we couldn’t have asked for a better Irish experience. The breakfast really is as luxurious as other reviews say. As her name (and Martin McDonagh) suggests, she’s the Queen of Connemara! Nico & Paola (the Italian cycling guests)

We had a very pleasant stay in this lovely B&B. The innkeeper was charming, and the breakfast was extraordinary, especially the homemade bread.

The rooms were clean, breakfast was amazing, and Regina made us feel so warm and welcome. She’s a lovely host. We’re already looking forward to another holiday here!

Kingstown House felt like a real home from home for my kids, and the family room was a good size, clean, quiet, and had everything working. Crisp white linen and a very generous breakfast made it excellent value. The house is right in the town centre, but on a quiet street without pubs, so we slept in blissful silence. Jim and Regina made our stay. They’re extremely hard working, took time to chat, and shared lots of local information. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh, expertly poached eggs, homemade brown bread, and fluffy American-style pancakes made with beaten egg whites and served with warm maple syrup. Jim even showed us how to poach an egg and shared tips for getting pancakes just right. That sort of attention to detail is hard to imagine in a 4* hotel. We’d stayed in a good hotel up the road before, but Kingstown House is better in many ways, largely thanks to the hosts’ friendliness and personal touch, and those fabulous breakfasts. I highly recommend it. Thanks, Jim and Regina, for the great hospitality. We hope to see you again soon. Helen, Alice & Piers.

Clifden was such a nice place to stay, and this little BnB made us feel very welcome. The owner is sweet, caring, and attentive, and we’ll come back. Rooms are large and tidy, each with a private bathroom, and it’s right in the centre of town. Breakfast is generous, starting with cereal, juice, coffee, tea, and homemade bread, plus a choice of different breakfasts. We tried nearly all of them and every one was great. Thanks for such a lovely time in Clifden!
