We’ll definitely be back. Deb and Michael (Lancashire) x. We visited the Zetland on a Tuesday night, and it was easily the best time I’ve ever had in a bar. Colum deserves to be showing landlords across Ireland how to treat customers. Five out of five is all I can give Zetland, though I’d give it 500 if I could.

Colm is a wonderful host, full of fascinating stories that keep guests entertained. In the lovely village of Cashel on the Connemara coast, this is one of the best bars around. If you’re nearby, you’d be daft to miss a pint of the best porter in the west of Ireland.

The owner was so pleasant and welcoming when we stayed at the Zetland Country House in August. The property was beautiful, and I can’t imagine a more scenic view from a bedroom window. I’d recommend it to anyone, and if I’m ever back in Ireland, I’ll make a point of staying there again.

The food and waiters were lovely, and the manager was so friendly and pleasant. My wife and I came with a group and loved this charming hotel in such a beautiful area. The rooms were exceptionally spacious, with comfortable beds and lovely outdoor views, and the bathroom was large too. The whole stay was much better than we expected. We’ll make a point of staying again on our next visit.

The dining room had fabulous views across Cashel Bay. We stopped for a bite while out cycling, and the owners were very obliging, making us a couple of toasties and soup even though the kitchen hadn’t opened yet.
