I loved the little touches in the room, from the blueberry buns and water to the tea-making facilities. Some Irish hotels miss details like these, but The Commodore Hotel doesn't. I also got a complimentary room upgrade, and the room and stunning view were perfect. At O'Shea's bistrot I had a tasty steak sandwich and a pint of Guinness. The reception team were great when I arrived and left. Cobh is a scenic place for a Cork visit and deserves to be better known than Kinsale! For the best deals, always book through the hotel website. Can't wait to return.

We had a sea view room with lots of space, high ceilings and a wonderful rain shower. The beds were comfortable as well, and the staff couldn't have been better.

Street parking was easy to use, and it was free on Sunday, which was a nice extra. We had a very enjoyable stay at the Commodore Hotel. The view from our room was the highlight, and we liked the old, authentic furniture throughout the hotel and in the room. Dinner and breakfast were delicious, with plenty to choose from on the menu.

The receptionist was a pleasure to deal with and really helpful, and the staff were nice in general. The kids found their single beds comfortable, but my husband and I didn't like the double bed at all. Breakfast was nearly €16 for a full Irish, yet it was small: poor-quality sausages, just one rasher, and an overcooked poached egg. Tea cost extra too. Charging so much for the hotel car park feels excessive, especially when a one-night stay is €230. Parking should come with the room at that price.

Cobh's sights and restaurants are all within walking distance, and the Titanic Experience is worth seeing. We had a fun two-night stay in October in a sea view room. The hotel was well maintained and very clean, with spectacular views through the big windows. I felt like I was in a first-class cabin on a ship! Breakfast wasn't great, though I only had it one morning. Service was a bit lacking: I had to ask for toast with my omelette, then wait ages, and nobody offered more coffee until I'd finished my meal. The restaurant wasn't especially busy. The young servers may have been new. Front desk and bar staff were efficient and friendly. It was a good stay, and I'd happily return.
