The location made it easy to get around, with the national park just across from Ivy Cottage B&B and the town centre and restaurants an easy walk away. Mary also had some lovely suggestions for places to eat and visit. The cottage and bedrooms were gorgeous, spacious, warm, cosy, and comfortable. Mary was so thoughtful and caring, especially when I felt ill. She brought me tea and hot water bottles and made me feel at home. Thank you again, Mary, for looking after me so kindly.

Mary made our stay. She was delightful, and she went well out of her way to make things comfortable for my mom and me. The rooms were cute and incredibly clean. She offered to make the beds each morning; we declined, but it was thoughtful of her to ask. Each morning she cooked breakfast, with a lovely spread of jams, peanut butter, porridge, dried fruit, and more, alongside the usual breakfast she could prepare if requested. Her hospitality meant so much, and I can't thank her enough.

Mary is lovely and the location is great, but there are a few things to know. The listing doesn't make it clear that the toilet is shared and downstairs, while both bedrooms are upstairs. Getting there at night means using a very narrow staircase. There isn't a garden view, and the street outside can get a bit noisy sometimes.

Mary really goes out of her way for guests at Ivy Cottage, even sorting dinner reservations and making wonderful Irish porridge for breakfast. The cottage is charming, and my husband and I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone visiting Killarney. Andrea & Bill

A lovely, homely B and B, with a beautiful continental breakfast. Mary is a fantastic hostess. I'd recommend it.
