We had a problem with our room, but it was dealt with quickly and sorted out. The staff were friendly, and Cora and Brian helped make the trip memorable. The lodge at Ashford Castle is beautiful, with well-kept grounds, golf course, and facilities. We hope to return soon.

The spa was a lovely part of the stay, with a great pool and a relaxing sauna. We could also explore the castle grounds, hire bikes, and find other activities by asking at reception. Our room was spacious and looked out over the river, and the staff were fantastic, always friendly and ready to help. Lunch was a treat too, especially the risotto I ordered. I found the stay at The Lodge at Ashford Castle relaxing and memorable, and would definitely recommend visiting.

We spent time enjoying the fresh air, cut grass, and natural vegetation, and really slowed down to take in the sights and sounds. The trails across the grounds were lovely, and we walked into nearby Cong Village, where The Quiet Man was filmed. We had a pint in one pub and a full meal in another, then played golf onsite. The Lodge is beautiful, and having full access to the Ashford Castle grounds and amenities makes it the most affordable way to enjoy this spectacular property. I truly hope to come back one day.

Winter sunshine made our weekend in Ashford even lovelier. We enjoyed walking around the grounds, taking a boat ride, and trying the falconry experience. In the afternoons, the spa was spacious and quiet, and we also had a relaxing coffee at the tea rooms. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the food was excellent with plenty of variety. Cullen’s Cottage was our favourite, but booking ahead is essential.

Meeting the lovely dogs while walking on the castle grounds was a perfect finish to a top trip. The room was stunning, and its two levels worked perfectly for us. Christina at reception made us feel from the start that we'd have a wonderful stay, and Paul the porter helped us get to our room. All the staff made a point of looking after guests with a smile or a drink. The breakfast team deserve a special mention for how attentive they were to my wife and me. Highly recommended ✅
