Davmar House

The location worked really well for visiting Blarney Castle, and Margaret was lovely and accommodating. The room was cute and clean, and breakfast was lovely too. The walls are a bit thin, though it didn't bother me. I could hear the other guests bringing their luggage down the stairs the next morning.

From the moment you walk into Davmar, you feel like part of David and Margaret's extended family. They're warm, kind and welcoming, and nothing seems like too much trouble for them. The house and location are beautiful, and the breakfasts were amazing. I already miss my short weekend there. I can't recommend this B&B enough. Please book!

Breakfast was good, ordered ahead and cooked when you asked for it. You can walk into town, though take care crossing the road at the corner. Turning into the driveway can also be tricky if you come from the wrong direction. It’s a decent place for a few nights, but the duvets were heavy and too hot, and it took a while for hot water to reach the washbasin and shower.

The owners were a very friendly couple, and we felt welcome. As we checked out, one of them came out to wish us well. The room was nice, and there was free WiFi throughout. Breakfast costs 7£ per person. You choose what you want, and I'm sure they'd make other things on request. The place is near Blarney, and we could walk to the local pub each night. Blarney is amazing.
